ABSTRACT
240 linear machanic sutures in digestive tract with Nakayama Utziyama stapling instruments. We present 240 cases of linear stamplers performed betwen january 1983 and december 1995 with Nakayama-Utziyama Stapling instruments. The procedures realized were 77 esophageal reconstruction with stomach, 32 gastric resection, 70 duodenal closure, 21 jejunal closure, 23 ileo-colic closure and 17 rectal closure-after the mechanical suture we made a hand-sewn suture. Eigth patients died of no related causes with the procedure, morbidity was present in 5 cases 2 duodenal fistulas and 3 hemmorrhage in gastric resections. The other sutures in proved without complications. The results obtained in our series are similar to those with other stapling instruments with less cost, due to the low cost and the manual recharge of the instruments.
