Traumatismo craneoencefálico / Cranioencephalic trauma

RESUMEN

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo y longitudinal del traumatismo craneoencefálico a 107 pacientes con esta afección de los 1 153 que ingresaron en las unidades de cuidados intensivos del hospital pediátrico "Juan Manuel Márquez" del municipio Playa, en el período de enero a septiembre del año 2001 y 2002 respectivamente. Se revisaron las historias clínicas en busca de los siguientes datos requerimiento o no de ventilación mecánica, edad, sexo y calidad del egreso de los pacientes. Se comprobó que el 60 (por ciento) de los niños ingresados en el 2001, fueron ventilados; el 50 (por ciento) se encontraba entre los 7 y 12 años de edad y el 85 (por ciento) egresó vivo. En el 2002, el porcentaje de niños ventilados y egresados vivos fue mayor que en el 2001. En el año 2002 predominaron los niños con edades entre 2 y 6 años y en ambos períodos fue mayor la cantidad de pacientes del sexo masculino. Se relacionan los principales cuidados de enfermería en estos pacientes. Los resultados se expresaron en porcentaje y se presentaron en tablas y gráficos(AU)

ABSTRACT

e/she was carried out a descriptive, retrospective and longitudinal study from the traumatism craneoencefálico to 107 patients with this affection of the 1 153 that you/they entered in the units of intensive cares of the pediatric hospital Juan Manuel Márquez of the municipality Beach, in the period of January to September of the year 2001 and 2002 respectively. The clinical histories were revised in search of the following data requirement or not of ventilation mechanics, age, sex and quality of the expenditure of the patients. He/she was proven that the 60 (percent) of the children entered in the 2001, they were ventilated; the 50 (percent) it was between the 7 and 12 years of age and the 85 (percent) alive egresó. In the 2002, the percentage of ventilated children and alive egresados it was bigger than in the 2001. In the year 2002 the children prevailed with ages between 2 and 6 years and in both periods it was bigger the quantity of patient of the masculine sex. They are related the main infirmary cares in these patients. The results were expressed in percentage and they were presented in charts and graphics(AU)
