RESUMEN

RESUMEN

Se reporta un caso de Púrpura Fulminans en un varón de un mes de edad asociado a infección por Haemophilus influenzae tipo b, remarcando la importancia del dosaje de proteínas C y S y antitrombina III en forma precoz, para confirmar el diagnóstico e iniciar el tratamiento adecuado y así evitar secuelas irreversibles. Asímismo, se revisa la fisiopatogenia y tratamiento.
