RESUMO

Este trabalho tem por objetivo realizar um estudo sobre o nascimento das ciências humanas e mais especificamente sobre o lugar ocupado pela Psicologia na configuração epistêmica moderna. Para tanto, ele se fundamenta na arquelogia proposta por Michel Foucault, cuja principal tese refere-se à desnaturalização do conceito de homem e de sua importância no espaço dos saberes. Nesse sentido, tentamos apontar que o surgimento das ciências humanas tem intrínsica relação com a "invenção" moderna de homem. Tal invenção guarda relações específicas com a filosofia, com as ciências matemáticas e físicas e com as ciências empíricas, sendo que o método positivista de investigação destas últimas será simultaneamete utilizado e criticado pelas ciências humanas. Procuramos elucidar este quadro e problematizar algumas questões epistêmicas que consideramos centrais a partir das categorias de morte e representação tal como apresentadas por Foucault em sua obra As Palavras e as Coisas...

ABSTRACT

The objective of this article is to carry out a study about the origin of the human sciences and particularly about the position of Psychology in the modern configuration of epistemology. It is based on the archaeology proposed by Michel Foucault whose main thesis refers to the denaturalization of the concept of human being and to his importance on the knowledge space. Therefore, we try to appoint that the emergence of the human sciences has an intrinsic relation with the modern "invention" of the human being. Such invention keeps specific relations with philosophy, with physical and mathematical sciences and with empirical sciences. The positivist investigation method of the last ones will be simultaneously used and censured by the human sciences. We try to elucidate this and to discuss about some epistemological questions which we consider important. This discussion will be based on the categories of death and representation as introduced by Foucault in his book "Les Mots et les Choses".
