A partir de 1915 o enfraquecimento dos ideais Iluministas conduz Freud a repensar a sublimação no horizonte das devastações de seu século. Três questões podem conduzir a interrogação freudiana quanto ao desvio da sublimação e a seu poder intrínseco de desligamento por onde passa a sublimação quando o progresso faz aliança com a barbárie? Que aliança a pulsão de morte contrai com os agentes da sublimação para que Eros seja assim tomado às avessas? Como funcionam os pontos de virada que são o supereu e o ideal do eu? A função da dessexualização e sua colaboração com a decomposição da comunidade de civilização são articuladas com a hostilidade, a cultura, a renúncia pulsional e a identificação da massa

ABSTRACT

The power of identifications and beliefs in the work of Jorge Luis Borges Shakespeare’s memory is a crepuscular short story by Borges. It was written at the end of his life, and it irradiates on his previous work the cold light of a fading star. Based on this text, the author studies, according to the mental cartography of the Borgeans characters, the different places of the father. According to the author, even though the central figure of the parent-child symbiosis prevails in the work by Borges, we also find in its work other dynamic intergenerational fields defined by less narcissistic relationships and in which there are parents that were able to process, at some extent, their own mourning of omnipotence, immortality and specularity in the parent-child dimension. Since as well as parents are necessary so that the child is able to configure his/her own Oedipal structure, they are also necessary for themselves, through a gradual and hard work of psychic elaboration, to be able to get rid of the excessiveness of their original parental power. Calling it parent-child symbiosis, the author develops in a broad manner the concept of the pre-oedipal relationship with the father as a centauric, fusional and ambiguous relationship, necessary and structuring phase in the human development so that the child detaches from the first symbiosis with the mother and gets to the configuration and elaboration of the oedipal situation
