Corpo, percepção e conhecimento em Merleau-Ponty / Body, perception and knowledge in Merleau-Ponty

RESUMO

Com base nos estudos da ciência da sua época, Merleau-Ponty interroga a respeito das análises sobre o sistema nervoso e os postulados clássicos sobre a condução do impulso elétrico, sobre o circuito reflexo, envolvendo estimulação e reação, sobre o campo perceptivo e sobre a questão da localização cerebral, sendo insuficiente a correspondência pontual, própria da tradição atomista, entre o excitante, o mapa cerebral e a reação. Essa revisão conduz a uma nova compreensão da percepção que se aproxima das ciências cognitivas contemporâneas. Este artigo, fruto de um estudo teórico sobre a fenomenologia de Merleau-Ponty, tem como objetivo apresentar essa revisão conceitual sobre a percepção, o diálogo com a arte e a ciência, configurando noções e conceitos em torno de uma fenomenologia do conhecimento.

ABSTRACT

Based on studies of the science of his time, Merleau-Ponty questions about the analysis on the nervous system and the classical postulates on the conduct of the electrical impulse, about the reflect circuit, involving stimulation and response, about the perceptual field and about the question of brain location, being insufficient to match point, like the atomist tradition use to defend, among the exciting, the brain map and the reaction. This review leads to a new understanding of perception that is closer to the contemporary cognitive science. This article, a result of theoretical study on the phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty, aims to present this review on the conceptual understanding, dialogue with the art and science, setting notions and concepts around a phenomenology of knowledge.
