ABSTRACT
The evaluation of lung function in obstructive diseases is important in order to quantify the obstruction level of the respiratory track and also to evaluate the function progress together with the information got through patient physical exams. Nowadays, there are many tests to check the several aspects of lung function such as the Peak Expiratory Flow evaluation for example. The mini Wright, for instance, is a small portable plastic gadget, easy to use and handle, low costs, used to measure the Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF), a valuable indicator of lung function. Its also used to observe the patient progress. The paper contains tables with data obtained with the mini Wright in 1.024 healthy 12 to 18 year-old students from public schools located in the central area of Uberlandia and Araguari. The regression equations and the average for PFE were 295.75 x height + (24.96x age) 478.24; 346.12 1/min (boys) and 212.82 x height + (5.93 x age) 131,81; 300.24 1/min (girls).
