Síndrome do ninho Vazio temporária: possíveis considerações / Temporary empty nest syndrome: possible considerations

RESUMO

Procurou-se, no presente estudo, verificar sentimentos, reações e sintomas biopsicossociais apresentados por casais que tiveram filhos adolescentes que viajaram ao exterior e lá permaneceram uma temporada superior a seis meses. Para isso, foi selecionada uma amostra de seis casais, todos residentes na cidade de Porto Alegre, e realizada uma entrevista semi-estruturada. As respostas obtidas foram analisadas qualitativamente e a releitura das obras que continham o tema em questão também é apresentada. O presente artigo apresenta os sintomas demonstrados pelos pais na ocasião da ausência temporária de seus filhos e estimula o leitor a pensar sobre Síndrome do Ninho Vazio.

ABSTRACT

This study has the goal to examine feelings, reactions and biopsychosocial symptoms presented by couples who had adolescence who traveled abroad for a season longer than six months. It was selected a sample of six couples, all residents in Porto Alegre who answered a semi-structured interview. The responses obtained were analyzed qualitatively, and rereading the works that contain the subject in question is also presented. This article describes the symptoms shown by parents at the time of the temporary absence of their children, and encourages the reader to think about the Empty Nest Syndrome.
