Reabsorção radicular interna e externa em paciente tratado ortodonticamente / Internal and external root reabsortion in orthodontic treated patient: case report

RESUMO

Durante a finalização do tratamento ortodôntico constatou-se, radiograficamente, reabsorção radicular interna e externa do dente21, com perfuração cervical. Optou-se por remoção das forças, tratamento endodôntico e, posteriormente, cirurgia com retalho gengival para preenchimento do local perfurado com Agregado de Trióxido Mineral (MTA). Ao final de 30 dias, foi constatado sucesso do procedimento adotado clínica e radiograficamente, sendo relevante destacar a importância da avaliação periódica radiográfica no tratamento ortodôntico.

ABSTRACT

During the end of the orthodontic treatment, it was radiographically detected internal and external root reabsorption on upper left central incisor with cervical perforation. It was decided to remove orthodontic forces and later; a surgery with gingival flap and filling of the perforation site with Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA). Ar the end of 30 days it was proved the clinical and radiographical success of the adopted procedure, being relevant to oulstand the importance of the periodical radiographical evaluation of the orthodontic treatment.
