Carga imediata em implantes na maxila edêntula / Immediate loading of dental implants in the edentulous maxilla: a literature review

RESUMO

Com o advento dos implantes osseointegráveis, o dilema da estabilidade das próteses totais inferiores foi solucionado com altos índices de sucesso. Na maxila sempre houve maior dificuldade no planejamento com implantes, devido a menor quantidade de estrutura óssea. A Implantodontia contemporânea tem enfrentado desafios para proporcionar o tratamento reabilitador de maxilas edêntulas através de implantes osseointegráveis. O objetivo desta revisão bibliográfica é buscar mais conhecimentos no planejamento de implantes com carga imediata em maxila edêntula e abordar alguns fatores que influenciam no grau de sucesso dos implantes e das próteses.

ABSTRACT

With the advent of osseointegrated dental implants, the dilemma of prosthesis stability at lower arches has been solved with high success levels. However, implant placement in the upper arches was always more difficult due to less bone structure. Nowadays, the challenge is to replace tooth losses in the maxilla through the use of dental implants. The aim of this review is to provide more knowledge on implant planning under immediate loading at this site and some factors that can influence success rates of implants and prostheses.
