RESUMEN
La anquiloglosia es una anormalidad congénita relativamente común del frenillo lingual que impide la protrusión y causa movimientos limitados de la lengua. Esta alteración en bebés es responsable del 25 a 60 por ciento de dificultades durante el amamantamiento. Presentamos una revisión enfocada en el diagnóstico, técnica quirúrgica y el reporte de caso clínico de un bebé.
ABSTRACT
Ankyloglossia is a relatively common congenital abnormality of the lingual frenum, that prevents protrusion and causes limited movements of the tongue. This abnormality in infants is associated with a 25 percent to 60 percent incidence of difficulties with breastfeeding. A review is presentedfocused on the diagnosis and surgical management of this condition as well as an infant's clinical case.
