Interesse profissional e estilos de pensar e criar em estudantes de psicologia / Professional interest and styles of thinking and creating of psychology students

RESUMO

O objetivo do estudo foi explorar as relações entre as preferências profissionais e os estilos de pensar e criar por meio da Escala de Características de Atividades Profissionais (ECAP) e da Escala Estilos de Pensar e Criar. Foram verificadas possíveis diferenças de média quanto às variáveis idade e série escolar. Participaram 65 alunos de um curso de Psicologia de uma universidade particular, com idade entre 17 e 46 anos, sendo 80% do sexo feminino. Os principais resultados revelaram que as maiores médias na ECAP referem-se à preferência pelos indicadores de ambientes e atividades profissionais de maior destaque e reconhecimento e o fator relacional divergente da escala Estilos de Pensar e Criar foi o que apresentou mais coeficientes de correlação significativos com os itens da ECAP.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study was to explore the relationship between professional preferences and styles of thinking and creating using the Escala de Características de Atividades Profissionais (ECAP) and the Escala Estilos de Pensar e Criar. Possible average differences based on the age and school grade variables were assessed. Participants in this study were 65 students between 17 and 46 years old, 80% female, attending a Psychology course in a private university. The main results demonstrated that the highest ECAP averages are related to preference for indicators of environment and professional activities that have more enhancement and are more recognized while the divergent relational factor of the Escala Estilos de Pensar e Criar was the one that presented more significant coefficients with the ECAP items.
