RESUMO
Relata-se caso de actinomicetoma exógeno com evolução favorável, apesar da gravidade das lesões e do diagnóstico tardio. O paciente, trabalhador rural, necessitou ser submetido a fasciotomia de urgência devido ao desenvolvimento de síndrome compartimental e, na biópsia de pele, constatou-se presença dos "grânulos de enxofre", sendo iniciado tratamento com sultametoxazol-trimetropim, havendo cura das lesões localizadas na coxa esquerda, após tratamento e acompanhamento ambulatorial por nove meses. Esse diagnóstico só foi feito após um ano do início da doença, depois de ter sido submetido a várias tentativas terapêuticas sem sucesso.
ABSTRACT
A case of actinomicetona with favorable outcome in spite of the severity of the lesions and late diagnosis is reported. The patient, a rural worker, needed to be submitted to the fasciotomy of urgency due to the development of compartment syndrome. The skin biopsy demonstrated the presence of "sulfur granules". The treatment with sulfametoxazol-trimetropim was installed. The definitive clinical cure occurred after nine months of follow-up. This diagnosis was made one year after the start of the disease. The patient had been submitted to several treatments without success.
