Psicoterapia de grupo con niños víctima de maltrato en un albergue de México D. F.* / Group Therapy with Victims of Child Abuse in a Shelter of Mexico City

RESUMEN

Introducción: En el presente artículo se documenta una intervención grupal breve con enfoque psicoanalítico realizada en un albergue temporal para niños víctimas de abuso y maltrato en México D. F. Se pretende mostrar cómo la intervención procuró disminuir el sufrimiento psíquico y promover que los participantes no repitieran su historia de maltrato. Metodología: Se realizaron 11 sesiones de las cuales posteriormente se hizo un análisis cualitativo teniendo en cuenta el cumplimiento de los objetivos específi cos. Resultados y Conclusiones: Al término de la intervención se encontró que el sufrimiento de los niños por la institucionalización fue, en gran medida, simbolizado y, por ende, disminuyó. Se ofreció a los niños una nueva concepción de las reglas y la oportunidad de crear relaciones marcadas por el respeto. De esta forma, se buscó que en el futuro no se presente la revictimización y la perpetuación del maltrato.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: In this article a short group intervention directed to children who had suffered maltreatment and abuse and lived in a shelter in Mexico D. F. is presented. The intervention had a psychoanalytic approach and had the objective of reducing the suffering and promoting actions so that the children did not repeat their history of abuse. Method: It was practiced 11 sessions and after a qualitative analysis according to objectives. Results and Conclusions: By means of a qualitative analysis of the intervention it was found that the suffering caused by staying in foster care decreased and was symbolized. The children conceived rules in a new way and had the opportunity to create respectful relationships. In this manner, the intervention promoted ways for the children to avoid being victims again and perpetuating the abuse.
