RESUMEN
En el servicio de emergencia del hospital de la Policía Nacional de la ciudad de Guayaquil, se reportó el caso de un paciente de 83 años de edad, cuyo motivo de consulta fue dolor en la extremidad superior izquierda, hiperestesia, debilidad muscular, cianosis y frialdad distal; 6 horas de evolución.Al examen físico, la paciente presenta una presión arterial de 190/110mmHg; en la extremidad superior izquierda se evidencia ausencia de pulsos periféricos humeral y radial. Es intervenido quirúrgicamente con diagnóstico pre-operatorio de trombosis de arteria humeral izquierda, se extrajo cinco trombos de arteria axilar. La evolución post-operatoria fue satisfactoria y sin complicaciones posteriores.
ABSTRACT
At the emergency service of the National Police Hospital of Guayaquil, the case of a 83 years patient was reported. He had pain in left upper extremity, hyperesthesia, muscle weakness, cyanosis and distal coldness; 6 hours of evolution.Physical exam shows blood pressure 190/110mmHg, absence of peripheral pulses in left extremity (humeral and radial). He is surgically intervened with pre-op diagnosis of thrombosis of left humeral artery. Post-operatory evolution was satisfactory and without any complications.
