Ciúme romântico e a sua relação com a violência / Romantic jealousy and its relationship to violence

RESUMO

Dentre as mais diferenciadas emoções humanas, o ciúme é uma emoção extremamente comum, e dentre todos os tipos de ciúme citados na literatura científica, o ciúme romântico, isto é, aquele que ocorre em relacionamentos amorosos, é um dos que tem despertado maior atenção de psicólogos e leigos. O ciúme romântico se configura como um conjunto de emoções desencadeadas por sentimentos de alguma ameaça à estabilidade ou qualidade de um relacionamento íntimo valorizado. Contudo, de uma manifestação normal, algumas pessoas ciumentas permanecem ambivalentes entre o amor e a desconfiança das parceiras afetivo-sexuais que constituem, tomando-se perturbadas, com labilidade afetiva e obcecadas por triangulações, muitas vezes imaginárias. Nesse momento instala-se o fenômeno do ciúme patológico, foco deste artigo, que freqüentemente está relacionado aos casos de violência contra os parceiros.

ABSTRACT

Amongst the many distinct human emotions, jealousy is an extremely common feeling and, among all kinds of jealousy cited by the scientific literature, romantic jealousy, which is the one that occurs in romantic relationships, has caught of psychologists and non-specialized people. Romantic jealousy is understood as a set of diverse emotions and behaviors triggered by feelings of a perceived threat to the stability or quality of an esteemed intimate relationship. However, derived from a normal manifestation, jealousy in some people is characterized by an ambivalence between lobe and suspicion of their sexual and affectionate partnerships. These people become increasingly disturbed by affective lability and obsessed with triangulations, often imaginary. At this point the phenomenon know as pathological jealousy, the focus of this article, which is frequently associated with acts of violence against partners, develops.
