O sentido da psicologia e a formação do psicólogo: um estudo de caso / The meaning of psychology and the psychologist's training: a case study

RESUMO

Utilizando o referencial da Psicologia Histórico-Cultural, investigam-se os sentidos da psicologia para estudantes da UFPR participantes de três grupos focais sobre definição, objetos e objetivos da psicologia. As falas analisadas pelo método da Análise Crítica do Discurso de Fairclough apontam para a pluralidade teórico-metodológica, existindo várias psicologias independentes entre si, como se as teorias não pertencessem ao mesmo campo de conhecimento, faltando uma identidade, dificultando definir seus objetos e objetivos. O questionamento excessivo revela uma constante dúvida sobre o lugar do profissional e da profissão, parecendo a psicologia como um lugar de incertezas. Sentem necessidade de posturas teóricas e metodológicas mais consistentes e maior aproximação entre teoria e prática. Expressam sentimentos de incerteza, de incapacidade, de fragilidade e de insegurança por não saber o que fazer, ou onde encontrar respostas. A multiplicidade e diversidade da psicologia reafirmam sua complexidade e advertem para a necessidade do professor/pesquisador dialogar com outros referenciais.

ABSTRACT

From the perspective of Historic-Cultural Psychology, meanings of psychology are investigated by UFPR students of three focus groups regarding definition, objects and goals of Psychology. The reports, analyzed based on the method of Critical Discourse Analysis of Fairclough, point to theoretical and methodological plurality, with various independent meanings of Psychology existing independently, as if different theories did not belong in the same field of knowledge, lacking identity and the definition of objects and goals. It reveals doubt about where professional psychologists stand, and the profession is described with uncertainty. They feel the need for consistent methodological and theoretical positions and for closer relationship between theory and practice. They express feelings of uncertainty, powerlessness, fragility and insecurity for not knowing what they should be doing or where to find answers. The multiplicity and diversity of psychology reaffirm its complexity and warns that the teacher/researcher should establish dialogue based on other references.
