Imagens invisíveis: deficiência e dança / Invisible images: disability and dance

RESUMO

O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre a mobilização emocional que acontece quando assistimos à dança com pessoas com deficiência e como a disponibilidade ou não para lidar com essas emoções despertadas, seja do ponto de vista individual ou coletivo, faz perpetuar preconceitos e estereótipos ou transformar a compreensão da vivência da diversidade na alteridade. Essa reflexão foi realizada a partir de vivências da autora e da literatura sobre os temas deficiência, comunicação, dança, corpo e o mito de Hefesto. E aponta a dança, como um meio de favorecer, não obstante ainda as dificuldades, a ressignificação da deficiência em nossa cultura

ABSTRACT

The aim of this paper is to discuss the emotional mobilization that happens when a person watchs people with disabilities dancing and how the availability or not to deal with these aroused emotions, whether from the standpoint of individual or collective, perpetuates stereotypes and prejudices or transforms the understanding of experience of diversity in otherness. The reflection is based on the author's experiences and literature on the topics disability, communication, dance, body and the myth of Hephaestus. It highlights the dance as means of encouraging, yet there are still difficulties, the reframing of disability in our culture
