RESUMO

O presente artigo explora a figura de Filoctetes, um herói grego da Guerra de Troia, como expressão do arquétipo da vítima. Por meio da proposta de sua tipologia mítica e da leitura simbólica do mito, depreendem-se possibilidades de compreensão da permanência e da saída da dor, levando em conta os excessos e as faltas contidos na hybris do herói.

ABSTRACT

This article explores the character Philoctetes, a hero in Greek Trojan war, as an archetypal expression of the victim. The proposal of his mythical typology and a symbolic analysis of the myth allow new possibilities of comprehension on the subject of permanence and departure from pain, taking the lacks and excesses within the hero's hybris into account.
