O Lazer Existencial: Uma Possibilidade de Resposta para o Absurdo / The Existential Leisure: A Possibility of Response for the Absurd

RESUMO

Esse trabalho repensa o significado do lazer a partir da ótica da filosofia existencialista, enfatizando, sobretudo, algumas das concepções de Albert Camus em torno do ciclo do absurdo. No percurso da investigação ousamos estabelecer um diálogo entre as conceituações do autor com duas das principais referências dos estudos do lazer no Brasil Dumazedier e Marcellino. Para tanto, identificamos quais as problemáticas que circundam a temática do lazer, destacando, assim, o trabalho e o consumo como os aspectos socioculturais que desafiam as possibilidades de construção de sentido autêntico e salutar no tempo e espaço do lazer.

ABSTRACT

The proposal of this paper is to rethink the meaning of leisure from the existentialist philosophy's perspective, emphasizing especially some of Albert Camus's ideas on the cycle of the absurd. In the course of the investigation, we established a dialogue between the author's two conceptualizations and two of the main references of the leisure studies in Brazil Dumazedier and Marcellino. To do so, we identified the problems that surround the theme of leisure, highlighting work and consumption as socio-cultural aspects that challenge the possibility of building an authentic and healthy sense of the time and space dedicated to leisure.
