O paradigma da complexidade no século XXI: da filosofia e ética da biologia a uma evolução antropológica e psicoafetiva em curso / Complexity paradigm in the century XXI: of the philosophy and ethics of the biology to an anthropology evolution and psychoaffective in course

RESUMO

Esta tese foi-se constituindo, organicamente, ao longo dos artigos e capítulos de livros que a compõem. Nela, prossigo meu projeto de mestrado (ENSP-Fiocruz, 2001), em torno da obra de Henri Atlan, biofísico e filósofo espinosista francês contemporâneo,acompanhando seus desenvolvimentos e adicionando-lhe elaborações pessoais. Em consonância com o objetivo de contribuir para os fundamentos epistemológicos e metodológicos que alicerçam projetos e estratégias em Saúde Pública, procedo à revisão doparadigma da complexidade, no qual as idéias de Atlan se inserem, na passagem do século XX ao XXI. Neste sentido, atualizo a intercrítica entre as racionalidades científica e mítica, proposta por Atlan sob a égide da filosofia spinozista, tanto no que diz respeito a questões de biologia reprodutiva e clonagem, quanto em suas repercussões culturais em mulheres e homens. Exploro, por diferentes vieses, a abrangência das audazes emultifacetadas hipóteses atlanianas sobre a evolução da natureza humana em curso, inclusive aplicando sua teoria de auto-organização a contextos práticos. Aliada ao revigoramento recente de conceitos como verdade e razão, convergentes com a vocação iluminista de Atlan, esboço releituras do paradigma da complexidade quepossam melhor atender às novas premências culturais e societárias assim como a suas necessidades afetivas subterrâneas negligenciadas e às suas reverberações na ética e napolítica. Desta forma, reitero a relevância deste paradigma para a pesquisa de fundamentos em Saúde Pública, em particular para a Promoção de Saúde. A amplitude, diversidade eentrelaçamentos de perspectivas que ele pressupõe e incentiva são respaldados por diversas vertentes do conhecimento, zelosas de sua especificidade disciplinar, mas que porfiam em concretizar no mundo uma aspiração em comum, positiva e democrática.

ABSTRACT

This thesis has been organically constituted through the articles and book chapters composing it. Here I pursue my Master's Degree project about the work of Atlan, a contemporary French biophysicist and Spinozist philosopher, following its development and adding my own elaborations to it. In harmony with the purpose of contributing to the methodological and epistemological groundwork underpinning Public health projects and strategies, I perform a review of the complexity paradigm, wherein Atlan's ideas are inserted, at the turn of the twenty-first century. In this sense, I update the 'intercritique' between the scientific and mythical rationales, proposed by Atlan under the aegis of Spinozist philosophy, concerning issues of reproductive biology and cloning, as well as their cultural repercussions on women and men. From different angles, I explore the scope of the bold and multifaceted Atlanian hypotheses about the ongoing evolution of human nature, also applying his theory of self-organization to practical contexts. [ gradually approach the questioning of the psycho affective dimension of this evolution, into which Atlanian thought has not delved so much, through the paths of the neurosciences, psychoanalysis and philosophy of mind. In unison with the late restreng thening of concepts such as truth and reason, converging with Atlan's enlightened stance, I outline rereadings of the complexity paradigm which may better meet the new cultural and societal urgencies ­ as well as their neglected unsurfaced affective needs ­ and their reverberations on ethics and politics. Thus, I reiterate the importance of this paradigm for the research of fundamentals in Public Health, especially for I Health Promotion. The breadth, diversity and interweaving of perspectives that it assumes and encourages are buttressed by various currents of knowledge, all earnest about their disciplinary specificity, but insisting on materializing a common, positive and democratic aspiration in the world.
