O curar e o cuidar: a historia de uma relação (um ensaio)

RESUMO

O presente ensaio refere-se a um estudo da relação entre a arte de cuidar e a arte de curar. Se o cuidar existiu desde que a humanidade se constituiu, ele era um saber indiferenciado o qual tanto faziam parte as atividades elaboradas no cuidado e na cura. Utilizando autores que tratam tanto da questão da relação de poder entre os gêneros masculino e feminino, bem como situam aquelas atividades no contexto histórico, verificamos existir uma ruptura entre o cuidar e o curar, ficando este último hegemônico. O cuidar, assim se transforma em enfermagem, como atividade subalterna. Este é o início de uma pesquisa a longo prazo para situar as noções relativas da disciplina - o seu discurso.

ABSTRACT

CURE AND CARE - A history of a relationship (an essay) - This essay referes to a study between Cure art and Care art. If there has been CARE since Mankind has been established, it was an adiaphoristic knowledge so that elaborated activities in care and cure both have taken part in it. Making use of authors that dead with both questions on power relation between male and female genders and pointing out those activities on a historical context, it has been verified that there is a rupture between Care and Care, being the latest as hegemonic. CARE turns into nursing as an activity which subordinate. This is a long - term research mark point to situate native notions of the subject-its own speech.
