Efeitos da terapia morfoanalítica e da terapia da mão na qualidade de vida e funcionalidade em mulheres com artrite reumatóide / Effects of morphoanalytical therapy and hand therapy in the quality of life and functionality in women with rheumatoid arthritis

RESUMO

O trabalho objetivou relatar os efeitos da intervenção com aabordagem de Terapia Morfoanalítica, associada à terapia da mão,na funcionalidade em Atividades da Vida Diária (AVD) e na qualidadede vida de dois sujeitos com Artrite Reumatóide (AR), aolongo de 10 meses. Para avaliar os efeitos da intervenção nos sujeitosforam utilizados dois instrumentos de medida WHOQOL-brefe o HAQ - simplificado (Health Assessment Questionnaire). Otratamento proposto aos dois sujeitos trouxe resultados positivos,como a diminuição das dores nas mãos e a melhoria da capacidadefuncional para realizar as AVD. Tais efeitos foram fundamentaispara a melhora do estado físico e emocional.

ABSTRACT

This paper aims at reporting the effects of intervention usingmorphoanalytical therapy approach, combined with hand therapy,to measure functional status in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)and quality of life in two subjects with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA),during a period of ten months. In order to evaluate the effects ofintervention in the two subjects we used the WHOQOL-bref andthe Health Assessment Questionnaire – short version. The resultsshow positive effects with treatment offered to the subjects, suchas reducing hands pain and improvement in functional capacity toperform ADLs. These effects were important to improve physicaland emotional conditions.
