O DESENVOLVIMENTO INFANTIL NO CONTEXTO DAS PRÁTICAS PROFISSIONAIS DE SAÚDE: UM ESTUDO DE REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS / THE CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND THE HEALTH PROFESSIONAL PRATICES: ASTUDY OF SOCIAL REPRESENTATIONS

RESUMO

Este trabalho analisa as representações sociais e sua interface com as práticas profissionais dirigidas à promoção do desenvolvimento infantil. Foram realizadas 24 entrevistas semiestruturadas, com profissionais de dois serviços de saúde, situados em São Paulo. Utilizou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo, através da qual buscou-se reconstruir os contextos institucional epolítico nos quais as representações e as práticas se constituem. Os resultados apresentam dados sobre o exercício da “violência simbólica” no cotidiano dos profissionais. Discutem-se, também,as relações estabelecidas entre práticas e representações, resultando daí a caracterização de posições institucionais, delimitando uma “geografia” das relações entre equipes de trabalho. Conclui-se que o estudo das práticas profissionais voltadas à saúde da criança pode ser proveitosamente realizado utilizando-se a teoria de representações sociais, uma vez que esse objeto de estudo não se esgota na análise do processo saúde-doença, mas exige novas definições paradigmáticas que efetivem o conceito de “promoção da saúde”.

ABSTRACT

This work analyzes the social representations and its interface with the professional practices, driven to the promotion of the child development. 24 semi-structured interviews were accomplished, with professionals of two services of health, in São Paulo. Thetechnique of content analysis was used, through which was looked for to reconstruct the institutional and political contexts us which the representations and the practices are constituted. The results present data on the exercise of the "symbolic violence" in the daily of the professionals, as well as it discusses the relationships established betweenpractices and representations, resulting of there the characterization of institutional positions, defining a "geography of the relationships" among work teams. It is ended that the study of the professional practices returned to the child's health, it can be accomplished through the theory of social representations, once that study object isn't drained in the analysis of the process health-disease, but it demands new paradigmatic definitions to implement the concept of "health promotion".
