Lazer no contexto Asiático: reflexões sobre intercambistas brasileiros no Japão / Leisure in an Asian context: Refletions on brazilian exchange students in Japan

RESUMO

Essa pesquisa teve por objetivo principal refletir sobre a qualidade da fruição do tempo livre dos estudantes brasileiros que realizaram intercâmbio para o Japão. Desdobraram-se dois objetivos específicos a) realizar um levantamento das bolsas de estudo oferecidas por universidades públicas paulistas para os estudantes de graduação do estado de São Paulo, b) verificar os estudantes da Universidade de São Paulo e Universidade Estadual Paulista que realizaram o intercâmbio e retornaram ao Brasil para análise da utilização do tempo livre durante o período fora do país. Considera-se que a bagagem cultural dos intercambistas revelam impactos tanto no país-origem quanto no país destino. Foram considerados aspectos teóricos sobre lazer e trabalho no Japão; viagens de estudo e intercâmbios; e barreiras de acesso ao lazer. Através dessa pesquisa, observou-se que existem diversas bolsas de estudo oferecidas também pelo governo japonês aos brasileiros. A maioria dos estudantes teve a oportunidade de realizar a viagem ao Japão pela primeira vez através de bolsas e foi motivada, principalmente, pelo interesse cultural no referido país, sendo raros os estudantes que tiveram desafios na fruição do tempo livre durante a viagem, com diversas possibilidades de lazer principalmente voltados aos aspectos culturais. Os entrevistados ressaltaram pontos positivos quanto à acessibilidade, segurança, conservação e infraestrutura, assim como a eficiência dos meios de transporte utilizados e sua possível implementação no Brasil. Por fim, mesmo com as dificuldades encontradas por alguns estudantes em aspectos financeiros durante o intercâmbio, todos puderam e optaram por fruir do seu tempo livre em atividades de lazer.

ABSTRACT

This research had as main purpose to reflect about the quality of enjoyment of free time of Brazilian students who made exchange to Japan. Have deployed two specific purposes: a) the data collection of scholarships offered by São Paulo public universities for state graduate students of São Paulo, b) verify the students of São Paulo University and São Paulo State University whom already made the exchange and returned to Brazil to analyze the use of their free time during the period abroad. Is considered that the cultural background of the exchange students reveal influences both in the source-country as in the destination-country. They were considered theoretical aspects of leisure and work in Japan; study travels and exchange; and leisure access barriers. Through this research, it was observed that there are several scholarships offered not only by universities, but also by the Japanese government to the Brazilians. Most students had the opportunity to make the trip to Japan for the first time through the scholarships and was motivated mainly by the cultural interest in that country, with rare students who had challenges in the enjoyment of free time during the trip, with many leisure possibilities mainly geared to cultural aspects. The interviewees highlighted positive aspects as accessibility, security, maintenance and infrastructure, as well as the efficiency of transport used and their possible implementation in Brazil. Finally, even with the difficulties encountered by some students on financial aspects during the exchange, everyone could have and chosen to enjoy their free time in leisure activities.
