ABSTRACT
Thrombus in transit (TIT) is a rare but potentially fatal condition. Transthoracic echocardiography is the diagnostic modality of choice. The major complications of TIT are pulmonary embolism, right ventricular dysfunction, obstructive shock, and paradoxical embolism through patent foramen ovale.
