ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:

To evaluate the effect of Shengmai injection and dexamethasone on the activity of SOD and the content of MDA during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

METHODS:

538 patients with cardiac arrest were randomly divided into experiment group and control group.Both groups were carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to INT rule.Experiment group were additionally treated with 1 mg?kg-1 dexamethasone,1 mg?kg-1 Shengmai injection and 5% glucose injection (250 mL) via i.v gtt.39 cases who were successfully rescued were respectively detected in terms of the activity of SOD and content of MDA in venous blood at 10 min,30 min,60 min and 120 min.

RESULTS:

The success ratio of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in experiment group and control group were 11.33% and 6.50%,respectively.The activity of SOD in experiment group were higher than in control group while The content of MDA in experiment group were lower than in control group(P
