ABSTRACT
In our laboratory, we have determined the liver specific membrane lipoprotein (LSp) antigen level in the circulating blood of the patients with viral hepatitis, SLE, and chronic renal disease by means of ELISA double sandwich method, using anti-LSp McAb of own production as the reagent. The corela-tion of LSp with the changes in HBeAg, SGPT, anti-LSpAb in the paitents' blood has also been studied. LSp was negative in the serum of normal persons, and the LSp positive rate among the patients with hepatic cell damage (autoimmune or viral hepatitis) was 48.2~70.0%. Lower positive rate (10~22.2%) was found in the patients with SLE (skin type), chronic renal disease and non-symptomatic HBsAg carriers. The difference was significant (P
