ABSTRACT
【Objective】To observe the therapeutic effect of interlocking intramedullary nailing combined with oral use and washing with herbal medicine for fracture of lower section of femur.【Methods】Thirty-six patients with fracture of lower section of femur received interlocking intramedullary nailing and then were treated by oral use and washing with herbal medicine subjecting to the early,middle and late stages of fracture.【Results】The fracture was healing in all of the 36 patients,the cure rate being 100%.Of 36 patients,26 was cured within 6~9 months,and 10 within 9~11 months.The average time for fracture healing was 30 weeks.【Conclusion】Interlocking intramedullary nailing combined with oral use and washing with herbal medicine can promote the fracture healing and reduce complications,and is beneficial to the recovery of knee joint function in treating fracture of lower section of femur.
