ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE Chronic ulcers on the limbs are a common problem in diabetic patients with pathological changes in nerve and vessels.Such ulcers can result in disablement and may even be life-threatening.The treatment of these chronic ulcers is a difficult issue in current medical practice.The development of an effective and easily handled treatment is,therefore,an important topic in the management of diabetes to improve patients′ quality of life.
