ABSTRACT
The effective management and utilization of massive data generated in scientific research have become one of the keys for sharing the scientific data. The USGS data life cycle model-based integration and management of data were thus described in this paper according to the tumor epidemiology data and relevant population data re-leased by the International Agency for Research on Cancer(IARC)in order to provide the specific cases and methods for scientific researchers to integrate and manage their data and for basic data and knowledge decision makers to work out the macro-policies. The USGS data life cycle model can be used in comparative analysis of different kinds of data,which has thus proved the efficiency of data life cycle model in data management.
