ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE@#To study the expression and biological value of AQP1 and VEGF in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) and their correlation.@*METHOD@#The expressions of AQP1 and VEGF were detected with immunohistochemical SP method in 60 cases of LSCC, 22 cases of polyps of vocal cord and 30 cases of normal tissues.@*RESULT@#The expression of AQP1 and VEGF in the laryngeal carcinoma group was significantly higher than that in polyps of vocal cord group and normal control. The expression of AQP1 and VEGF was related to the clinical staging, the differentiation degree and the lymph node metastasis. The higher was the tumor stage, the stronger was AQP1 and VEGF expression; the lower was the tumor differentiation, the stronger was AQP1 and VEGF expression. The expression of AQP1 and VEGF in the group with lymph node metastasis was higher than that in non metastasis ones; The sexuality and age did not affect the expressions of AQP1 and VEGF. The expressions was direct correlation between AQP1 and VEGF in the laryngeal carcinoma tissues.@*CONCLUSION@#The high expressions of AQP1 and VEGF and the close relationship with the clinical pathological factors in the LSCC, implicated that AQP1 and VEGF played an important role in the laryngeal carcinoma cells growth, metastasis and angiogenesis of LSCC.
