ABSTRACT
Pleomorphic adenomas were benign tumors of major salivary glands. Uncommonly, they arose in minor salivary glands up to 50% of the benign tumors of minor salivary glands. However, pleomorphic adnomas were extremely rare in accessory parotid gland and found along the anterior portion of the parotid gland and the Stensen's duct in about 20% of the people. Pathologic changes within the accessory parotid gland were infrequent, and retrospective studies had shown neoplatic changes of the accessory parotid gland to account for only between 1% and 7.7% of all parotid gland tumors.
