ABSTRACT
Infectious diseases are very common in children, and pathogenic microorganism infection or its pathogenic substances such as its components or toxins could cause jaundice through direct cytotoxic action or mechanisms that induce microcirculation disorders or immune-mediated damage of the liver.This paper putted forward the definition of infection-related jaundice, and discussed its common types and their pathogenic mechanisms, clinical characteristics and diagnostic points, as well as strategies and programs for the treatment ofinfection-related jaundice.
