ABSTRACT
Insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)is the main mediator of growth hormone to promote growth, and it plays an important role in the growth and metabolism of normal tissues.A reasonable diet is essential for the growth and development of adolescents.Dietary nutrients are absorbed and metabolized in the body, exert various physiological functions, and affect the growth and development of adolescents.Therefore, it is important to clarify the impact of various dietary nutrients on IGF-1 for the benefit of adolescentsgrowth and development.This article reviews the recent research progress on the correlation between various nutrients in the diet and the serum IGF-1 levels.
