Trajetórias e aproximações entre a saúde coletiva e a agroecologia / Trajectories and approaches between collective health and agroecology

RESUMO

RESUMO O artigo, em forma de ensaio, discute a trajetória da aproximação entre a saúde coletiva e a agroecologia. O texto apresenta uma sistematização da história recente em torno da seguinte questão desde quando e sob quais condições, contextos e temas os diálogos entre saúde e agroecologia passaram a se fortalecer no Brasil? Ainda que a agroecologia, por sua própria concepção, sempre tenha estado a serviço da promoção da saúde, a aproximação entre os dois campos tem envolvido um longo percurso marcado por diálogos entre movimentos sociais e setores acadêmicos que contribuíram para a construção de políticas públicas que, recentemente, vêm passando por sérias restrições. Além de revisão bibliográfica, análises dos relatórios de Conferências Nacionais de Saúde e de políticas públicas, o artigo se baseia em experiências acadêmicas e militantes dos autores nas diversas entidades, fóruns, redes e movimentos sociais que serviram de espaços de articulações entre a saúde coletiva e a agroecologia. Ao longo do artigo, discute-se o contexto histórico, institucional, político e epistêmico desse diálogo, que tem sido aprofundado somente nos últimos anos. Ao final, discutem-se alguns desafios e questões estratégicas para sua continuidade diante dos graves retrocessos em curso.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT The article, which is an essay, discusses the trajectory of the approach between collective health and agroecology. The text presents a systematization of the recent history trying to answer the following question since when and under what conditions, contexts, and themes did the dialogues between health and agroecology begin to be strengthened in Brazil? Although agroecology, by its very conception, has always been at the service of health promotion, the rapprochement between the two fields has involved a long journey marked by dialogues between social movements and academic sectors that contributed to the construction of public policies which have recently been under serious restrictions. In addition to a bibliographical review, analysis of the National Health Conferences and public policy reports, the article is based on the authors' academic and militant experiences with various entities, forums, networks, and social movements that served as spaces for articulation between collective health and agroecology. The article discusses the historical, institutional, political, and epistemic context of this dialogue, which has only been deepened in recent years, and at the end we discuss some challenges and strategic issues for its continuity in the face of serious setbacks.
