Formando Médicos da Pessoa - O Resgate das Relações Médico-Paciente e Professor-Aluno

RESUMO

Resumo Destaca-se a importância de formar médicos que, tendo a compreensão da unicidade mente­corpo, façam uma leitura mais global do paciente e exerçam a Medicina do homem, não do sintoma. É traçado um paralelo entre a relação médico-paciente e a relação professor-aluno, mostrando a semelhança dos fenômenos que ocorrem em ambas (desigualdade, dependência, cisão, transferência, etc.) e a necessidade de compreendê-los para resgatar a qualidade dessas interações, fator indispensável à adequada formação do profissional médico. Relata-se a preocupação dos educadores médicos contemporâneos com o perfil humanístico do seu produto final e focalizam-se algumas medidas que estão sendo ou podem ser conduzidas pela escola médica comprometida com o exercício da Medicina da pessoa.

ABSTRACT

Summary: The author stresses the importance of medical students being prepared for the practice of de Medicine of the Man, not of the symptom. She draws a parallel between the Doctor-Patient and the Teacher-Student relationships showing the occurrence of similar phenomenons in bath, such as inequality, dependence, splitting, transference, etc, proposing that they should be understood in order to attain a better quality of these interactions, this being a crucial step in the making of a good physician. Considering that educators are concerned with the humanistic and ethical aspects of the students education she paints out procedures that are or could be conducted by the lnstitutions in order to prepare doctors for the practice of the Medicine of the Person.
