La presente norma tiene por objeto regular la promoción de la salud visual, prevención y detección temprana de vicios y refracción de patología visuales, el diagnostico oportuno, tratamiento, rehabilitación visual, el sistema de registro y sistematización de la información, los mecanismos de monitoreo y evaluación, así como prioridades e investigación en salud visual. Dirigido al personal y colaboradores del Sistema Nacional Integrado de Salud. (SNIS)
