Atuação do fisioterapeuta na Atenção Primária à Saúde do município de Crateús - CE / The physiotherapist's performance on primary health care in Crateús, Ceará

RESUMO

A fisioterapia na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) é uma desafiadora realidade que se opõe ao tradicional perfil reabilitador do fisioterapeuta. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a atuação dos fisioterapeutas na APS do município de Crateús-Ceará. Trata- se de uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada em abril de 2016 por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e analisadas conforme a técnica de análise de conteúdo. As principais atividades desenvolvidas pelos fisioterapeutas são visitas domiciliares e atividades coletivas. Os desafios enfrentados foram poucos fisioterapeutas incluídos na APS, falta de transporte, infraestrutura precária, necessidade de Educação Permanente e resistência ao modelo de trabalho do fisioterapeuta na APS. A atuação dos fisioterapeutas no município apresenta-se mais voltada para promoção e prevenção, entretanto existe um déficit na organização da atenção especializada em Fisioterapia, que acaba sobrecarregando a APS e demandando muitas ações de recuperação da saúde.

ABSTRACT

Physiotherapy in the Primary Health Care (PHC) is a challenging reality intervention that is opposed to the traditional and rehabilitator physiotherapist profile. This study aimed to analyze the work of physiotherapists in the PHC in Crateús, Ceará. This is a qualitative survey conducted in April 2016, through framed interviews and analyzed according to the content analysis technique. The main activities developed by physiotherapists are home visits and group activities. The challenges faced were few physiotherapists included in the PHC, lack of transportation, poor infrastructure, the need of Continuing Education and resistance to physiotherapist working model in PHC. The performance of physiotherapists in this municipality appears more focused on promotion and prevention, but there is a lack in the care organization specialized in physiotherapy in the city, which has just overloading the PHC and demanding many health recovery actions.
