RESUMO

Diversos interesses e conflitos estão presentes na organização do lazer no decorrer do tempo, da regulamentação do direito ao lazer à conformação de estruturas adequadas para o desfrute da população, do efeito regenerativo sobre o trabalhador, a exploração de seu potencial econômico diante do surgimento da indústria do lazer e o incentivo ao consumo. Sendo assim, visando compreender as dimensões do lazer no tempo, o artigo inicialmente abordará sobre a construção do conceito de lazer, expondo as formulações elaboradas por estudiosos do campo. Analisado o conceito de lazer, refletiremos sobre a relação entre lazer, espaço e tempo, tendo como base o processo de implantação dos parques na cidade de São Paulo no contexto de sua expansão urbana, salientando, especialmente, a influência europeia e norte-americana no que tange aos distintos modelos surgidos na capital paulista.

ABSTRACT

Several interests and conflicts are placed in the leisure organization over time, from the regulation of the right to leisure, to the conformation of adequate facilities for the enjoyment, the regenerative effect on the worker, the exploitation of its economic potential by the industries of leisure that increases the consumption. Therefore, trying to understand the dimensions of the leisure time, the article will argue about the construction of the concept of leisure, exposing the formulations developed by the field. Buy the analyses of the concept of leisure, we reflect the relationship between leisure, space and time, based on the process of implementation of the parks in the city of São Paulo during its urban expansion, especially, the European and American influence in the models adopted in São Paulo.
