RESUMEN
Introducción:
El Rol de la enfermera en investigación clínica, se enfrenta a grandes avances científicos, por lo cual cobra cada vez mayor importancia la gestión que realiza en los procesos de selección, evaluación y seguimiento de los participantes en estudio, buscando mantener grandes estándares de calidad en la ejecución, hasta llegar a su culminación exitosa. Artículo de reflexión sobre un análisis crítico, que describe detalladamente el rol de la enfermera en investigación clínica.Resultados:
Este artículo tiene como finalidad, demostrar el amplio campo de acción de las enfermeras en el área de investigación, de la cual se resalta la gran labor y el avance en la actualidad, es preciso remontarnos a la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, cuando se profesionaliza la enfermería y de ahí surge la necesidad de la primera enfermera que se preocupó por la investigación, Florence Nightingale, quien dedicó parte de su trabajo a la investigación de enfermería. Discusión yConclusiones:
Los profesionales de enfermería en investigación clínica, tiene la posibilidad de aplicar cuidados con autodeterminación, pues poseen bases científicas adquiridas en la academia que emplea en los diferentes estudios clínicos, por otra parte su desarrollo personal y las habilidades innatas son vitales a la hora de relacionarse con el equipo de trabajo y los participantes, lo anterior fundamenta la disciplina de la profesión en un alto grado de evidencia científica que se implementa en cuidados basados en la evidencia.ABSTRACT

This article aims to demonstrate the broad scope of nurses in the area of research, which highlights the great work and progress at present, we must go back to the second half of the nineteenth century, when becomes professional nursing and there arises the need for the first nurse who cared for the investigation, Florence Nightingale, who spent part of her work to the nursing research. Discussion andConclusions:
Nurses in clinical research has the possibility of self-determining care, because they have acquired a scientific basis in the academy that used in different trials, otherwise their personal development and innate abilities are vital to time to interact with the staff and participants, based above the regulation of the profession at a high level of scientific evidence that is implemented in evidence-based care.
