O psicólogo na escola: um trabalho invisível? / The psychologist in the school: an invisible work?

RESUMO

Apesar dos avanços no campo da Psicologia Escolar, ainda persistem dificuldades relacionadas à visibilidade da atuação do psicólogo na escola. Este trabalho discute esta conjuntura por meio da análise de 127 diários de campo produzidos por psicólogos inseridos em instituições públicas de educação básica durante 2008 e 2009. A partir de um processo construtivo-interpretativo fundamentado no materialismo histórico dialético foram elaboradas três categorias representativas das intervenções dos psicólogos junto à equipe educativa; junto aos pais e/ou responsáveis e junto às crianças. Estas categorias indicam a importância do psicólogo na escola. As informações construídas desmistificam a invisibilidade do trabalho do psicólogo ressaltam sua atuação e apontam a urgência de elaboração de políticas públicas que o incluam como membro da equipe educativa.

ABSTRACT

Despite the advances in the field of School Psychology, difficulties that surround psychologist1s acting in the schools are often observed. This work intends to discuss this question through the analysis of 127 field notes produced by psychologists who had been in educational institutions between 2008 and 2009. By using a constructive-interpretative process three categories were formulated representing the interventions of psychologists in the school assistance to the educational team, interventions with parents and with children. It indicates the importance of the school psychologist. Finally, this information contests the invisible myth that circumscribed the work of school psychologists as well as pointing out the urgency of the elaboration of public politics to include this professional as a member of the educational staff.
