Studies on phosphonium yildes VII Synthesis of new carbomethylenetriphenylphosphorane -1, 3, 4-oxa and thidaiazole derivatives as bactericidal and fungicidal agents

ABSTRACT

Keteneylidenetriphenyl-phosphorane reacts with 2-thiono-5-pyridyl- 1,3,4-oxadiazole [2a] and 2-thiono-5-pyridyl-1,3,4 thiadiazole [2b] to yield the corresponding 3-amino- carboxymthy lenetriphenyl phosphorane adducts 3a and 3b. Respectively, possible reaction mechanism is considered and the structural assignments are based on chemical and spectroscopic evidence. Preliminary screening tests of products showed that some compounds are active against these Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and Aspergillus niger
