ABSTRACT
This study was planned to investigate the soft tissues response as a result of treating cases presented with Angl's Class II Division I malocclusion using different myofunctional appliances [Frankel, Herbest and Activators] after a period of one year. The sample consist of 40 subjects with age range 10-12 years. This sample was divided into four equal groups, ten for each treatment group and the last group was kept as a control. The statistical analysis of the collected data revealed that the activator followed by the Herbest showed the most significant improvement as regard retraction of upper lip, soft tissue subnasale and protraction of the soft tissue pogonion. On the other hand, the Herbest followed by the Frankel showed a more forward positioning of the lower lip. As regard the esthetic line the activator followed by the Frankel showed more upper lip retraction to the esthetic line while the Frankel showed the most lower lip protraction relative to that line. Conclusively the activator showed the most observable improvement in the soft tissue convexity in treating Angle's class II Division 1 malocclusion
