Dental concerns for vital bleaching of teeth

ABSTRACT
Esthetic interest of dental professionals have been aroused due to easy conservative technique for bleaching of vital teeth. Most commonly used technique for bleaching is the use of night guards with 10% carbamide peroxide preparations [multiple products are available]. This is commonly known as home bleaching. For in-office vital bleaching, 30% hydrogen peroxide is used. The purpose of this article is to inform dental health care deliverer about safety of the products used in office and as home bleaching agents. This information is based on past researches. These researches were also done to determine the effects of above mentioned bleaching products also on tissue healing and plaque control. Main assessment is based on research work conducted at the dental school, UNC by Van B Haywood
