Supraglottic cyst as a rare pathology

ABSTRACT
Cysts of the larynx are rare lesions, most frequently located on the supraglottic region. This study included eight cases with supraglottic cyst. Five cases were males with an age average of 32 year old [22-60 years]. Two cases were females with an age average of 28 years [20, 36 years respectively]. One case was a boy, 8 years old. The cases were classified into four groups three cases with aryepiglottic cyst [37.5%, two cases on the left side and one case on the right side], three cases with epiglottic cyst on the pharyngeal surface [37.5%, two on the left side and one case on the right side], one case with ventricular cyst [12.5%] and one case with vallecular cyst [12.5%]. Presentation, histopathological evaluations, acoustic and aerodynamic presentation were discussed
