Effect of anthraquinone glycosides in combination with salicylic acid on periodontal status: a clinical and histological study

ABSTRACT

The effect of Anthraquinone Glycosides in combination with salicylic acid on periodontal condition was evaluated clinically and histologically. Patients were treated by the chemical agents once and three times per day. There was a clinical improvement in gingival condition while histological changes were noted in periodontal tissues. Further investigations are required for each component separately to determine which component had the delirious effect on gingival condition
