ABSTRACT

Bleeding on probing is an objective clinical sign of gingival inflammation. The purpose of this investigation was to correlate the histologic features of the gingival tissues with the different degrees of bleeding Time index. Forty five gingival sites from 15 male patients, subjected to periodontal surgery were assessed for the presence or absence of gingival bleeding.
