ABSTRACT
Fusarium sp. was isolated from Sinai soil in Egypt. This organism tolerated high concentrations of selenium compounds up to 3.5% [w/v]. The fungus released considerable quantities of dimethylselenide into the atmosphere. The biological release depended basically on several factors incubation temperature, pH and substrate concentration. Maximum volatilization was obtained at 30 degree, a pH range of 6-7 and 1% [w/v] sodium selenite
