ABSTRACT
2-hydrazino-5 [4-pyridyl]-1, 3, 4-oxadiazoles reacted with aromatic aldehydes to yield 2-arrylidene hydrazino derivatives [Ia-f]. 3- chloromethyl-2-thiono-5-[4-pyridyl]-1, 3, 4-oxa or thiadiazoles reacted with aromatic mercaptans to yield 3-arylidene thio-methyl derivatives [IIa-i].
